late policy

At DM The Salon, we understand that sometimes being late is unavoidable. However, depending on the circumstances, clients that are more than 15 minutes late will either need to reschedule or will receive a shortened appointment time.

I typically run on time. If I am running late, I will send you a text to let you know how late I will be. However, this is a rare occurrence. 

cancellation policy 

Your appointment times are very important here at DM the Salon - they are reserved especially for you. I understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, I respectfully request at least a 24 hour notice for cancellations and/or rescheduling of appointments. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be charged 50% for the time of services booked. Any “no-shows” will be charged 100% of the services booked.

appointment scheduling

I highly recommend that you schedule your next 2 appointments prior to leaving the salon to ensure you have the appointment time that you most desire. I typically book out 6-8 weeks. 

preferred methods of payment

Cash or check is preferred, but I take credit cards as well. Gratuity is not included in the service fees listed on my price list.

guarantee

Although I do not give cash refunds, all services have a limited time guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied within 1 week of the service you received, it will be made right at no further expense. 

pets

Sorry, but by Indiana State law, no pets are allowed in a salon.

child safety policy

My concerns are for the safety of your children.

I understand how challenging it is finding time to spend for yourself. I also understand that your “me time” does not always align with your hair appointments. However, my policy strictly prohibits unsupervised children in the salon. 

DM the Salon is not child-proof. Sharp instruments, hot styling tools & chemicals, all make for a potentially dangerous environment for young children. DM the Salon is dedicated to providing each of our guests with the highest level of service possible.

cell phone policy

DM the Salon would like to provide a tranquil and stress-reducing experience for everyone. Please turn your cell phones to vibrate or silent and refrain from conversations (unless there is an emergency) on your phone during your service. This includes conference calls.
